Lemon shark (Negaprion brevirostris)

In 2020, the IUCN has classified the Lemon shark as vulnerable due to it's population dropping by 30–49% over the last 50 years. This is thanks to intense fishing in the Southwest and Eastern Central Atlantic and the Eastern Central and Southeast Pacific oceans. [source]

The lemon shark is a species of shark (unbeliveable right?). Their name comes from their yellow-ish skin that works as great camouflage for swimming on sandy shores. Thanks to that, you'll find them in shallow subtropical waters. Adult lemon sharks grow to about 2.8 meters on average. They are (mostly) nocturnal feeders utilizing their ampullae of Lorenzini to find prey in the dark. They look kinda similar to bull sharks.

Oh yeah these boys aren't introverted like most sharks. They sometimes live in groups of up to 20 sharks! Apparently they could be able to learn from social interactions or form social bonds (wikipedia said so) but don't quote me on that.

They don't really pose a danger to humans. Plus the international shark attack file has only like 10 entries for the lemon shark. As long as you respect the shark you'll be fine.
